Continuous furnaces
Our continuous furnaces are applied in hot rolling mills for the heating of slabs before hot rolling process. They are also used for heat treatment of sheets, bars and tubes. In tube plants and forging plants our furnaces are applied for heating of sectional steel, e. g. billets. Also producers of gas bottles use our furnaces for heat treatment.
Batch-type furnaces
Batch-type furnaces are applied in forging plants for the heating of steel before forging process but also for the decrease of tensions in the material which occur during forging. In steel foundries heat treatment of casting parts is carried out in our batch-type furnaces. Other MAERZ batch-type furnaces such as pit furnaces or hood-type annealing furnaces are also used by stainless steel producers.
Main field of application:
- Application in the forging industry both for the heating and for the heat treatment of forging products
- Application in foundries for the preheating and also for the heat treatment of the cast parts
- Application for the heat treatment in the complete steel industry, where increasingly higher quality requirements are made on that product.
Batch-type furnaces are always applied in case continuous operation cannot be realized economically due to the lot sizes or in cases where extremely different annealing programs have to be realized related to the used materials.
